Daniel Cohn Bendit revient, pour la première fois depuis 1968, parler à la Sorbonne et décide, au cours de son débat avec le public, de relancer sa carrière politique en France.

Le Prince Héritier de Jordanie et Javier Perez de Cuellar annoncent au public qu'ils sont en train de tout tenter pour sauver la paix au Proche-Orient.

Le monde change, évolue, s’adapte. Il faut changer le monde, évoluer, s’adapter. Avec l’ensemble des partenaires, nous avons souhaité que la Cité de la réussite aborde pour sa cinquième édition une question essentielle dans une société qui connaît à la fois des blocages et des changements, celle de la transformation. A la veille du troisième millénaire, les réponses aux défis économiques et sociaux (mondialisation, exclusion...), l’interrogation sur le progrès technique, les incessantes découvertes scientifiques s’imposent aux individus, aux nations, à la planète.  Anticiper, prévoir, gérer, tels sont les défis auxquels chacun d’entre nous doit faire face.

Faut-il avoir peur du progrès scientifique ? Pourquoi le savoir est-il richesse ? Quel est le nouveau visage de la famille ? Ce sont tous ces thèmes et bien d’autres encore, du rôle des syndicats à la puissance des religions, de la monnaie unique à l’innovation dans l’industrie des communications, qui seront abordés au cours de ce week-end.

En réunissant une centaine de personnalités pour 42 face-à-face entre générations, nous avons voulu que cette cinquième Cité de la réussite permette à chacun de choisir les débats en fonction de ses sphères d’intérêts, de son domaine d’activité.

Rendez-vous des idées et du dialogue, gageons que cette cinquième Cité de la réussite soit l’occasion de faire le point et de dresser la liste des actions concrètes à mener dans des secteurs aussi divers que la santé, le travail, la religion, la famille…qui nous concernent tous.
